From artist such as R.Kelly, Beyonce, Tyrese, and many others, a conveinent selection of gospel lyrics has always popped up every now and then in the secular music world. However, in the last couple of years, there has been a much heavier wave than we have ever seen of popular rapper and singers suddenly becoming…..Gospel artist? In particular, notorious thug rapper Snoop Dogg, who is a pioneer of modern day hip hop, has planned to release his very first gospel album in the near future. Famously known for belonging to the “crips” (gang) snoop dog has shocked everyone with the announcement. The Gospel music industry is a platform to promote the person, message, and the worship of Jesus Christ. So what would make someone who seemingly has no relationship or interest in the Gospel all of a sudden come up with this idea? As we take a look at what the Gospel is, we will also examine the fruits and character of Snoop Dogg and the rest of the hip hop industry to conclude, the diabolic agenda from these artist has, is, and will continue to be the same, and that is the destruction of the Gospel and true Christianity.

What Is The Gospel?
Since the very beginning, there was an unmistakable reality that man was in need of a savior . God created the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and placed them in paradise called the garden of Eden. Through Gods grace and love man had the freedom to communicate with our Creator day and night. Though God had made everything perfect, Satan, the adversary and who the bible calls the father of lies, seduced man into a life continual rebellion and sin.

3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

God had given Adam and Eve freedom to eat of all in the garden but 1 exception, they were not allowed to eat from the tree in the midst. God forewarned that the punishment for disobedience was death. Satan, who was in the form of a serpent challenged the Word of God and twisted it to make sin enticing to the mind of eve. Notice that the main lure was that once the fruit was eaten, eve had the potential to be god. This was the first lie recorded in the bible. Not only did Adam and eve not become gods but as God warned, they had entered into a fallen state, and thus a death sentence began for the whole human race because of one mans sin. Shortly after the first prophecy (or Gospel)of Jesus Christ was spoken by God.

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The verse mentioned above specifically refers to Jesus Christ, who is the seed of the woman, to bruise the head of the serpent who is Satan, in which a bruise to the head is a death blow to a serpent. Thus began a long history of Gods grace and mercy to the world for a promised Savior to destroy the works of sin and the devil.

skipping to the birth of Jesus, From the time Jesus Christ the son of God was born throgh immaculate conception, the gospel began to be established in the earth. God became man to do what was prophesied throughout the old testament.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Though Jesus came to man as a gentle lamb, mans natural instinct was to hate Him, why? because of the sinful nature due to the fall of adam. The bible explains it this way:
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Notice the bible says by NATURE are we born children of wrath, and our first inclination is walk in accordance to Satan. This is the dilema that man faces, through our transgrssions against God through sin, our hearts are constantly at war with holiness and righteousness, which is God. Just like the God told Adam, the punishment againt a just God is death, physically, and a eternal spiritual death. God sees this and out of love creates a new covenant with man.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
From the time Jesus ministry started on earth, the Gospel was established, and that is that through living a perfect and holy life, Jesus Christ himself would offer himself to take the death punishment by God by dying on the cross. Through this death, Jesus perfect in all his ways, was treated like a sinner and became the lamb sacrificed for Gods Just punishment for sinners. Because of this we now have access to God as children as opposed to being cast away. This is the Good NEWS aka the Gospel.  There was nothing that we could do on our own and now through the new covenant of mercy, all we have to do is put our faith in the atoning work of Christ and we are saved and free from the bondage of our sins, made anew to live in holiness, obedience, and to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. So knowing this, does Snoop Dogg have the urge to make this Good News known to the world through his platform?

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Doggs music career began in 1992 when he was discovered by legendary producer Dr. Dre. From thence he immediately catipalted into stardom selling out records and tours world wide. He immediately became infamous through the promotion of drugs, heavy gang violence, and even sexual abuse to woman. Soon after in 1994, at the beginning stages of his career, Snoop Dogg made a very telling music video entitled , Murder Was The Case. What was interesting about this music video is it seems to indicate the path snoop would take for the remainder of his career.

Murder was the case was a song chronicling a story in which Snoop Dogg supposedly like many other artist sells his soul for fame and fortune. Although many artist casually use this metaphor( some figuratively, some literally) Snoop Dogg thought it important to depict this visually in a music video. The video leads up to Snoop Dogg about to die from a gunshot wound as he sings the lyrics:

As Snoop Dogg raps these lyrics Satan appears in front of him. Notice how he ends the verse with, close your eyes my son, my eyes are closed, implying that he listened and accepted Satan’s offer. Throughout the video we can see shots of the devil literally coming into snoop Dogg, a subtle way of saying he owns his entire being.
Many may use the excuse, this is just for entertainment value, however that is a literal false promise satan has been making for ages, so deceived as to even making the same promise to Jesus himself.

This was no joke. Though the world belongs to God alone, God has given temporary reigns to the devil to decieve the nations and offer certain riches, which will come to an apex when the antichrist establishes a literal world kingdom on the earth. However Jesus defeated Satan’s false promises with the Word of God, while snoop dogg, on the contrary decided to accept and live a few years of luxury very few get to experience in exchange for his soul when its all said and done.

Snoop Dogg Spiritual Confusion

Snoop has has been seemingly in a state of spiritual confusion for decades now. Like many other African American rappers, in 2009 Snoop Dogg joined the nation of Islam. Snoop took the Islamic world by storm making numerous monetary contributions and praising one of its foremost leaders Louis Ferraken. While Snoop supposedly was trying to make a positive change, he would continually be charged with multiple crimes throughout the process.
Continuing down the path of spiritual confusion, in 2013 Snoop Dogg abandoned all previous religion and shocked everyone again by announcing he had converted to Rastafarian. Many people viewed this as a weird and awkward publicity stunt, especially when he made claims that he was the reincarnation of Bob Marley. However, Snoop Dogg did try, emphasis on try, to play the part. He later created multiple reggae songs, heavily embraced the weed smoking culture, changed his style and the most interesting thing, changed his name from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion, as the ultimate sign of conversion.

Fast forward to 2017 and Snoop Dogg is now appearantly right on schedule to convert to another religion, this time being Christianity. It s sad news when the Rasta community and the muslim community has publicly outraged when he impersonated their religion, yet the christian community are the one who sit back nonchalant while he perverts their faith. The important thing to note, and where im leading to is, while Snoop Dogg switched back and fourth between religions, his lifestyle and behavior NEVER changed in the process of any of them. Time after time Snoop has publicly shown what has always been deep rooted in his heart.

In what appears to be a heavy wave of deception that has been brewing for a couple years now through artist like chance the rapper, kendrick lamar, and jcole, Snoop Dogg has joined in on the new hip hop trend and announced that he will be releasing a Gospel album. He states:
“It’s always been on my heart,” he said. “I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business and doing this and doing that. But I just feel like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.” “Me, Faith Evans, we talked about it heavily, because she feels like she wants to get down with me,” he revealed. “All the people I know from Charlie Wilson to Jeffery Osborne, whoever I want to get down with. We gone make it right.”

There has been heavy emphasis of late on blending the church with the secular world. People are trying to tear down all barriers while trying to throw away judgement, preaching the Word and exclusiveness. These avenues have been slowly open not by Snoop Dogg, but by the so called “stars” of the christian community. The Lecraes and Detrick Haddons of the world have tried everything to gain platform, fame, money and validation through fitting in with all the big names of hip hop. Because the pool pit has become a stage arena and light show to entertain the youth, the hip hop world who hates the God of the Bible, now have full fledge comfortability to make gospel claims without actually practicing it.
Snoop is obviously trying to gather all the big gospel industry names in an attempt to make the album “look” the part. The bible prophesied that in the last days there would be a great falling away in the church, a reference to the abandoning of the true doctrine that Jesus taught, at a rate that has never been seen before in the history of the world. And this is one of the examples. Instead of Christians artist calling out Snoop for his blasphemous lyrics, profane mouth, violence, and sexual immorality, many Gospel artist were geeked up that they had an opportunity to team up with someone as big as Snoop Dogg. Gospel Legend Fred Hammond, who happens to be at the downside of his career, took to twitter to happily brag about being apart of something so antagonizing to the Christian faith:

Fred Hammond later got heat from his long time followers, and felt so convicted that he literally made a 2 hour video trying to justify how its ok for him to do this and how God is in the works of Snoops gospel album! What would make a man who has done nothing but sing about Jesus his entire career, participate in promoting a perverted false gospel from a false Christian? Relevance of trying to stay young hip and in the spotlight will always create a compromising desperation which will surely make any Christian compromise their faith. Just recently Lecrae, was seen on Bet’s tv show Wild N’ Out in which he was able to participate, joke with and promote some of the most immorale entertainment to date.

Like most other compromising christians, he continually stated “dont judge me” as a way to try and silence critics. In some cases the approval of immoral entertainment is a clearer sign of spiritual depravity than participating in sin itself.

“One of my biggest fears with Coloring Book was that it would be labeled. I hate labels,” Chano explained. “I never sought out for people to recognize it as a gospel album. I don’t make Christian rap, but I am a Christian rapper. When I was going out and trying to fully give glory to God, in my setting, I feared that people would be dismissive of it, like, ‘This is Christian rap, I’m not trying to hear it.’
Beyonce also made a lot of noise in the Christian community when she featured on a song, when Jesus says yes nobody can say no. Beyonce has always identified as a christian and seeing this song made so many undiserning Chrstians proud because they felt like they now have a license to finally listen to their secretly favorite singers. However not long after her Jesus song came out, Beyonce made another song in which her lyrics were so blasphemous, they were outright satanic:

In what sounds like an occult ritual, Beyonce ends by saying she covered her menses(genital area) with pages from the bible. It is important to know, destroying Christian artifacts, mainly bibles and crosses are of extreme importance in satanic ritual. Her partner Jay-Z is no different when it comes to disrespect for Jesus and respect for Satan.

Justin Beiber very recently cancelled the rest of his music tour because he supposedly “rededicated is life back to Jesus.” To no ones surprise He recently made a music video where he displays multiple satanic images in fast motion.(literally so fast, the only way to see them with the naked eye is to pause the video in segments.) Is the Spirit of God leading this charge? Absolutely not.

Justin beiber new found Christian dedication has led him into the arms of Hillsong pastor Carl Lenz for mentorship. Hillsong has been tied to nothing but controversy and false doctrine. These things will always be brought to the light givin enough time. While it may be the case that Justin Beiber is sincerely and honestly seeking for answers, notice he chose to go to a pastor who will tell him what he want to hear rather than the truth. A pastor has a heavier burden than most to preach the gospel in and out of season. In other words, when it isnt popular and when someone wants to hear feel good lust filled messages, the true Gospel is always top priority. Instead Carl Lenz have condoned Beibers sexually charged music and during the time where he could have honestly built a Christ centered relationship with Beiber, Carl and Beiber was spotted at a bar taking shots and dancing with women while wearing no shirt.

How can anyone of this behavior call themselve a Pastor? It is this type of lukewarm lifestyle that gives people like Justin Beiber and Snoop Dogg a false security in their own selves that will eventually lead to the wrath of God being poured out on judgement day.

Hip Hops False Light
The bible clearly defines how to identify a true Christian, someone who actualy has the Gospel in their heart. The fruit that Soop Dogg and the rest of hip hop continues to produce is indeed rotten. To those who study the Word of God, this comes as no surprise. This is probably the largest evidence of what the bible prophesied hundreds of years ago, how the church would fall away from true biblical Christianity and embrace an evil satanically inspired counterfeit religion. So what would be the real inspiration behind the so called new shift? The entire purpose of these artist is to ultimately destroy the truth of the Gospel and cancel its effect all together. Like many other people in the world, you can get away with walking on both sides of the fence. If there is a mention of Jesus in at least one song, then no one can say you have not done your job as a christian. The goal has always been to infiltrate and merge faith with a humanistic secularism. What may seem as a new shift is actually an agenda that has been planned down to the T, and now the time is ripe in the world to roll out the final stages. The stages that have led up to this point can be clearly seen throughout hip hops history.
1. Promote music that is spiritual not religious

2. Plant seed through “occasional” church visits

3. Affirm its music through gospel artist, pastors, and top influences in the gospel arena.

4. Create a brand new gospel, that removes the emphasis on God to man.

This outline is clearly evident in most major pop stars. In the grand scheme of things, the time has come for all religions to merge and traditionalism or, The Bible to be done way with. Religion will be traded for spiritual enlightenment. In a smaller scale, this is just but one avenue for the masses to accept this new religion.

Just last year gospel mogul Kirk Franklin bragged about “losing his religion”, and the next step was to engrace a few tracks on Kanye West gospel album.

Kanye West has blasphemed the name of God literally more times than you can count, even calling hisself yeezus, a combination of yeezy and Jesus. Whats more s that kanye has always been involved in the occult and satanism since the beginning of his career. What would make a so called man of God want to link up, befriend, and promote someone who is completely sold out to the devils agenda?

Whenever there is a will to please men, you will constantly seek validation from the world in order to feel like you have done something in life. Many are so deceived they even equate money and dinning with the rich ones of the world, as a blessing from God.

On the contrary, while money in itself isnt the big issue, more times than not money was seen as a curse to man than a blessing. Jesus constantly preached against a compromising effort to reach wealth status in this world. Money and fame can go hand in  hand and both take your eyes away from God like no other thing. Hip hop knows this and is establishing a new standard of religion.  In the near future, God will be seen as a homeboy instead of a loving father. He will have all the attributes of the hip hop community especially the condoning of riches, lust, and violence. A new religion where man can do as he sees fit without any consequences or accountability. This false religion will be inclusive and eventually bring in other gods, using new age philosophy, there are many paths to god. There will be no emphasis on the death and resurrection and atonement of Jesus Christ, but Jesus will constantly be mentioned as a “footnote” with the same balance of power as man, in terms making man a god as well. Hip hop is especially prevalent in American churches, and all someone need is an excuse to be in the world while still feeling they have the promises of Christ. This is the new false light that is being built through fake gospel thugs such as Snoop Dogg. The only doctrine of hip hop was and will always be, that Jesus is not God, but man is God.

What is more important is how pop artist feel no conviction from Christian artist, which gives them full access to do whatever they feel. Instead of being led, rebuked and informed of what exactly the gospel is, they are embraced and promoted solely because of their celebrity status. Popular gospel artist always use the excuse Jesus befriended sinners so i will too, but Jesus never befriended sinners or used this as a blueprint to salvation. God has given us the free gift of human relationship so i believe every Christian has friends that may not have the same views. However the problem with that is when you are linked up spiritually with those sinners, especially to the point of forsaking your religion instead of the other way around. Gospel vets such as Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin who should be a voice for the Christian community because of their platform should be an example to this generation. Age does not neccessarily bring wisdom obviously, but after following Christianity for 20 plus years, there should be growth and extremely high sense of urgency seeing how the last days are. That is why the Bible warns and gives signs of the end. After serving the Gospel for years and years, there should be continual growth in holiness and sanctification, not moving backwards. But The devil knows flashes of fame money and relevance and power are enough temptation to destroy any church. We are each held accountable for our brothers and more importantly ourselves. Just as other religions stand boldly for their faith, let this be a warning that this false light is only the tip of the iceberg and somewhere, someone has to war with this evil agenda, no mater the cost. Let us be in continual prayer that God will open the eyes of our hip hop leaders like Snoop Dogg as well as our Christian leaders unto the true revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
